Professional Biography
Neal A. Winston specializes in elder law, special needs, public benefits, and disability law. A nationally recognized expert on elder law, special needs counseling and trusts, public benefit programs and disability law, Mr. Winston wrote the first edition of the Social Security Manual for the Community Worker in 1975. He is a popular lecturer helping to train other attorneys and professionals in the field. Known as a hands-on, client-oriented attorney, he has represented hundreds of claimants before state and federal courts and agencies. Neal is a past president of the Special Needs Alliance, a national, invitation-only nonprofit organization composed of attorneys who advise and represent individuals and their families to create and administer Special Needs Trusts. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and is a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation.
